Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. Does everyone have to create an invention or innovation?  Yes, in the first part of this project, everyone has to create either an invention or innovation.
  2. When do we get to work in groups?  After you have come up with an idea (invention or innovation), drawn a picture,  and had your application accepted, we will get into small groups.
  3. How does our group decide whose invention/innovation to choose? This is the fun of a group project.  When you all get into groups, you each get to share your invention/innovation with your group members.  Then, together, you have to decide which invention/innovation will be the best to present in the "Shark Tank."   You want to choose the idea you think has the best chance of getting an investment.
  4. How do we decide what each group member should work on?  Divide and conquer the work.  Each group has a presentation, business plan, marketing mix, brochure, Microsoft Paint Image, and radio commercial to create.  It will be very hard to have everyone work on everything.  When meeting with your group, decide and volunteer who will work on what.
  5. What if one of our group members doesn't want to do their work?  This is a small joy of group work.  Sometimes, you may have partners that do not want to do their part.  Be sure to inform your instructor.  Also, everyone else in the group should work hard to complete their responsibilities. If the time permits, you may have to work on your partners work as well.  We will make sure that each of your partner's grades reflects their effort.
