Activity 5: Add slide transitions and object animations

Slide transitions and animations can make a presentation come to life. In this activity you’ll try
adding transitions and animations to your Google Slides presentation.

Complete the following steps:

1. Apply slide transitions.

a. Return to Slide 1 in your Google Slides presentation, “On the Rise Bakery best
practices sharing_YOURNAME.”
b. Select Transition and select Fade from the drop down menu.
c. Adjust the speed to Medium.
d. Select Play to see how your transition will look.
e. After the slide fades in, select Stop, then change the transition to Dissolve and
select Apply to all slides.

2. Add animations to the images and text.

a. On the slide “Key learning from OTR Manila” select the title text.
b. Select Animate and Add animation.
c. Choose Fade in and On Click and adjust the speed to Slow.
d. Select the body text and Add animation.
e. Choose Fade in, After previous, By paragraph and Medium.
f. Select the image of the lightbulb and Add animation.
g. Select Fade in, With previous, and Slow.
h. View the results using the Play button, and experiment with dragging the
animations to reorder them and changing the settings.
