Activity 4: Insert a linked chart
Now it’s your turn. In this activity you’ll test the dynamic integration between Google Sheets
and Google Slides.

Complete the following steps:
1. Click this link On the Rise monthly bestsellers Links to an external site., then click Make a copy to create a copy
of the spreadsheet in your Google Drive.
2. Return the tab containing your presentation “On the Rise Bakery best practices
sharing_YOURNAME” and add a blank new slide,
3. Select Insert, Chart, and From Sheets.
4. Select the “Copy of On the Rise monthly bestsellers” Google Sheet, then click Select.
5. Select the chart, ensure the “Link to spreadsheet” box is checked, then click Import.
6. Return the Google Sheet tab and make some changes to the data.
7. Return to your presentation tab and refresh the chart in Google Slides. Click the
Update button on the chart to refresh the chart.
8. Close the “Copy of On the Rise monthly bestsellers” Google Sheet tab.
